Cancellation of the 2020 Valla Park Rod Run:
It is with regret the Drag-ens must advise that early this evening, the management at Valla Beach Tourist Park officially confirmed that all accommodation facilities within Valla Park have been closed, including the 2020 Valla Beach Rod Run.
The Park have advised that at this time of uncertainty and with further likely outbreaks of Covid-19, they believe that for the safety of their guests, residents and staff, the Tourist Park should remain closed until at least late December or early January, 2021.
For those persons who have entered and paid for accommodation for the 2020 Valla Park Rod Run, be assured that all entrants will be reimbursed in full for all accommodation costs, as soon as is reasonably practical over the next two weeks or so.
Notice - Accommodation refunds for Valla Park Rod Run, 2020
Since the release of the Drag-ens “2020 Valla Entry Form” and in light of ongoing Covid19 changes, we are pleased to confirm that any accommodation paid for Valla 2020, will be refunded in full, provided a request for such accommodation cancellation is received by email via the Drag-ens website (at “Valla Rod Run Enquiries” under “Contact” on the search bar), by not later than Sunday, 30th August, 2020.
If the Valla Park Rod Run is unable to proceed for any reason whatsoever, the Drag-ens will issue such advice to all entrants via the Drag-ens website and Facebook, by no later than 30th August, 2020, in which case all accommodation paid for Valla 2020, will be refunded in full.
Sunday, 27th September 2020 to Sunday 3rd October 2020
This is the 44th annual Rod Run to be held by the Drag-ens Hot Rod Club Inc at the Valla Beach Tourist Park, 1 Regatta Drive, Valla Park, NSW, 2448, Australia.
Beginning in 1977 as a 2-day weekend event with only 72 cars, the Valla Park Rod Run has grown to in excess of a full week of indulgence, with an average of around 350 cars each year and is believed to be the longest-running and free entry Rod Run in the world.
The fun will commence on Saturday and run through to Sunday at the Valla Beach Tourist Park, Valla Park, NSW. Entry and participation are open to all Hot Rods of 1948 and earlier vintage.
Throughout the entire week, attractions, runs and competitions are held each day, both within and outside of the park. These usually commence with a Drag-ens Welcome BBQ on the first Sunday night and conclude with the Award Presentation night on the last Saturday night. Events vary from year to year, however, will usually include a dress-up theme night and band on Friday, a go-whoa and burn-outs at the Raleigh Park Raceway, daily cruising around the Park (“Cruzin the Park”), competitions for kids and grown-ups during the week and the Saturday morning open display of all cars in the main street of nearby Nambucca Heads.
The theme for 2020 is Comic-Con.
ENTERING THE RUN
The opening date for the lodgement of Entries (including accommodation bookings) will be 3rd July 2020. Entry Forms cannot be lodged prior to that opening date.
Accommodation within the Valla Beach Tourist Park can only be booked via the Drag-ens official Entry Form, on and after the opening date for Entries and is subject to availability. Accommodation options within the park will be provided on the Entry Form. All accommodation costs must be paid for prior to 15th July.
All accommodation, including campsites, must be for a minimum booking from Sunday 27th September to Saturday 3rd October 2020 (inclusive). Accommodation required before 27th September or after 3rd October 2020 is to be booked directly through Valla Beach Tourist Park on (02) 6569 5555 and will only be confirmed by the Resort if it matches the site/sites allocated by the Drag-ens Hot Rod Club Inc for the run dates.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
NO un-registered vehicles are permitted on roadways in the park.
NO bicycles, scooters or skateboards are permitted on roadways during the run.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any vehicle deemed unsuitable and park any pre-1948 vehicles during Cruzin the Park.
Should your preferred accommodation be unavailable, entrants will be informed as soon as possible with alternative accommodation offered or a refund made where applicable. Accommodation is non-transferable and any alterations must be made through the Drag-ens.
No refunds will be made unless at least 30 days’ notice of nonattendance is given to the organisers in writing.
Payment via cheque or money order payable to the Drag-ens Hot Rod Club Inc. Entries will not be processed until all money is paid.
